みなさん、こんにちは。
取り組んでいた「Cut thru' North Pole House」は順調に進んでいます。クロスステッチもゴールが見えています。
クロスステッチが終わったら黒の糸で全体にバックステッチを縫ってステッチはゴールに着きます。これからクリスマスまでに毎日集中して沢山の時間を使って取り組めば何とか間に合わせることは可能だと思っています。でも年末年始に向けてやらなければいけない仕事もあります。そこで私は決断しました。
「急いでステッチしてゴールに着くのはやめよう!!」
焦ればミスをする確率は高くなるし、何より急いでステッチしても楽しくないなぁ...と思ったので「Cut thru' North Pole House」は暫くお休みすることにします。今年のクリスマスに間に合うようにと頑張りましたが、完成は来年になります。全てのステッチを終わらせてから、作品として完成させるつもりです。この作品は二回目の年越しをすることになってしまいました。
今年の前半はステッチをする余裕がなかったのが要因だと考えます。しかしながら私の心身を癒すことが最優先の状態でしたから仕方がありません。後半にステッチを再開することが出来たので「Cut thru' North Pole House」に集中して取り組むことにしました。今までで一番多くの糸を使ってクロスステッチをして、レシピ通りにカウントを間違えないように気をつけました。 毎日この作業の繰り返しでしたが、私は楽しく感じていました。カラフルな糸にワクワクしたし、何より一つ一つのクロスステッチの粒が愛おしいのです。
来年の１２月には作品として完成した「Cut thru' North Pole House」を紹介出来ると思います。その時が来たら紹介させてください。
１２月も中盤に差し掛かりせわしなさが増してくる頃ですね。クリスマスやお正月の準備で忙しくなると思いますが、どうぞお体と心を大切に過ごしてください。

That is really pretty. Merry Christmas!
It's good that you paid more attention to your health and well-being than to the stitching. Embroidery should be FUN and that means we should not rush to get things finished.
Look forward to next Christmas and the finished Cut-thru North Pole House.
Prepare for Christmas and New Year at a slow and comfortable pace, too.

I will be sending you a package after the first of the year, post office said it is loaded with packages and not sure if all will be delivered on time.

Oh, you made a lot progress on this! I agree though, it is best not to rush things. Stitching on a deadline really takes the joy out of it. I am looking forward to seeing this completed next year!
